COMPUTER SCIENCE OLYMPIADS
Participation in the third Computer Science Olympiads, organized by the College of Technical Engineers in Computer Science of Aragon, is in full swing.
These Olympiads are a bit special because they do not take place in a single day. Students must express their interest in participating in one or several of the available categories: Multimedia, Web/Apps, Cybersecurity, Cloud, and Algorithmics. From December 11th, the organization launches challenges for the different categories, and students had until last Sunday, January 14th, to submit their entries. From this date, the jury determines who will be selected for the final groups for the grand final that will take place at the end of February here in Zaragoza.
In the Computer Science department, they love the spirit of these Olympiads and participate with all the students from 3rd and 4th ESO, as well as all the students in Computer Science in Baccalaureate and some from Art. More than 100 students are participating, and from today, we will be eager to see how many of them can reach the final, which is not easy because schools from all over Aragon participate.
Here is a sample of the MULTIMEDIA category where students are challenged to create an image based on the famous comic “13, Rue del Percebe,” but with the idea of adapting it to their school. A delightful creation by the students Ana and Cristina from 1st Baccalaureate.
Good luck to all!
