Engineers, Scientists, Leaders: 7 Lanuza Students at the Forefront of STEM Talent
“You can’t be what you can’t see.” Under this premise, last weekend, seven of our 1st and 2nd ESO students – Celia López, Marta Cabañas, Caludia Giner, Sara Origüen, Maria Ocón, Leyre Pascual, Inés Astiagarraga – participated in the inaugural event of STEM Talent Girl in Zaragoza.
This high-impact program has a clear goal: to inspire and empower the next generation of women in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). But at Juan de Lanuza, we know that inspiration doesn’t just happen; you have to seek it out.
During the event, our students had the unique opportunity to connect with real female role models: women who are currently leading innovation projects in Aragon and Spain. Through masterclasses and shadowing sessions, the program allows our students to visualize themselves in technical leadership roles, breaking down stereotypes and fears.
This participation is not an isolated event but part of our educational strategy to ensure that our students’ talent encounters no barriers. We want them to choose their university and professional futures with the certainty that the world of science belongs to them too.
