Colegio Juan de Lanuza shines at the VI edition of ZARAMUN
This past weekend, our students took part in the IV edition of ZARAMUN (Zaragoza Model United Nations), held from January 31 to February 2 in Zaragoza and organized by Lycée Français Molière. This prestigious international event brought together young delegates from various educational institutions to debate the theme: “The Dilemmas of Humanity: Borders, Justice, and Ethics – Building the Future of the World.”
Our representatives stood out not only for their preparation and argumentation skills but also for their commitment to dialogue and international cooperation. Elisa Gonzalo (1st Baccalaureate) had the honor of serving as Guest Chair of the UNHCR, bringing her leadership and expertise to high-level debates. Meanwhile, delegates Hugo Gonzalo (1st Baccalaureate) and Béibhinn Martínez (4th ESO) impressed the assembly with their eloquence and diplomatic skills, earning the awards for Best Delegate in the UNEP Commission and an Honorable Mention in the UNODC Commission, respectively.
At Colegio Juan de Lanuza, we extend our warmest congratulations to all our delegates for their outstanding performance. We also express our gratitude to Lycée Français Molière for hosting and organizing ZARAMUN.
For our students, experiences like this provide a unique opportunity to develop essential skills such as public speaking, negotiation, and critical thinking, all fundamental in their journey as global citizens.
ZARAMUN continues to establish itself as a platform for learning and personal growth, and we are proud to be part of this initiative. We remain committed to education that goes beyond the classroom, shaping the leaders of the future!
