COMIC STRIPS:  TO EXPRESS YOURSELF THROUGH DRAWING

One of the pillars of our school is artistic education, that allows to empower the critical and creative capacity of students. This happens in a real context where students have enough capacity to analyze and interpret the environment that surrounds them, as well as to adapt  to new situations.

A wonderful example of this is the first activity that Alejandro Abadía, our Art teacher, has prepared for 1st Baccalaureate: a comic strip based on Covid.

The objective is that, inspiring in the current situation, they create their own drawings and they start “loosing up”, as the artist´s say, and they pay attention to the communicative  function of drawing, as well as they start investigating about the format of comic strips.
