Encouraging Reading Through Author Interaction on Fiction Express
Colegio Juan de Lanuza continues to embrace innovative methodologies to promote reading in English, with Fiction Express becoming a key tool in this mission. Its unique model allows students not only to read live stories but also to actively participate in shaping the plot through forums where they engage with the authors.
Thanks to their outstanding participation in these forums, our 6th-grade students had the opportunity to hold exclusive meetings with renowned international writers:
🔹 Leyre Pascual had a conversation with Emma Pass.
🔹 Jorge Botaya and Alex Sisamón exchanged ideas with Adam Guillain.
🔹 Daniel Abrego, last term, spoke with Dan Smith.
These interactions have allowed students to gain firsthand insight into the literary creation process, understand how stories are built, and share their opinions directly with the authors. Moreover, this experience boosts their motivation for reading by making them feel actively involved in the development of the books.
The success of this initiative reaffirms the school’s commitment to enhancing language skills and fostering a love for reading, using innovative tools that transform literature into a vibrant and participatory experience.
