MANDRÁGORA: BRINGING SCIENCE TO THE CLASSROOM
Madrágora is an association which organises didactic activities in the classroom, amongst many other things.
Over the past weeks the boys and girls in 3rd Infants, and 1st and 2nd Primary were lucky enough to take part in practical workshops where they learned about illustrious scientists like Marie Curie, Thomas Edison, Isaac Newton and Hipatia of Alexandria. They did an experiment with ink so they could understand the concept of diffusion and, after learning about different natural phenomena that occur in the four elements – earth, water, air and fire – they found out how to make their own volcano. It was a blast!
