RULES, BOUNDARIES AND CONSEQUENCES – Family School with Alejandro Yus

Raising our children is one of the most important and satisfying tasks in our lives, however, it is also one of the most difficult. Here at Juan de Lanuza, we are most fortunate to have the support of the Counselling Department who, through our Family School, organise informative talks and presentations  with specialists to help us on this fundamental mission.

On the 22nd of February, we received Alejandro Yus from the Aragonese Family Action Association, who guided us to reflect on the rules and boundaries in our homes. He spoke about the importance of consistency, tolerating frustration and proportionate consequences. He also provided us with efficient alternatives to traditional punishments such as “time out”, family meetings and effective negotiation and dialogue. 

It was a most informative and interesting afternoon.
