A Halloween of Solidarity at Juan de Lanuza: Donating Blood Saves Lives
Juan de Lanuza School is once again organizing its Solidarity Blood Donation Campaign in collaboration with the Banco de Sangre y Tejidos de Aragón. The event will take place on Thursday, October 31st, from 5:00 to 8:30 p.m. in the School’s Psychomotricity Room.
Under the slogan “Donating blood saves lives,” this initiative aims to inspire families, teachers, and school staff to take part in a simple yet powerful act of solidarity that helps save thousands of lives every year.
A few facts that remind us why every donation counts:
🩸 1 in 10 patients will need a blood transfusion.
🩸 A person with leukemia may require up to 200 units of blood.
🩸 A mother with a complicated birth, up to 20.
Donating blood is quick and easy — you just need to be over 18 years old, weigh more than 50 kilos, and be in good health. It’s also recommended to avoid coming on an empty stomach, stay hydrated, and refrain from intense physical activity afterwards.
Adding a fun Halloween twist, the School invites everyone to follow the recommendations of their trusted vampire for a good cause, reinforcing our commitment to solidarity, health, and responsible citizenship.
