Discovering Art at the Pablo Gargallo Museum
The 3rd-grade students (Giraffes and Kangaroos) had the opportunity to delve into the world of art with a visit to the Pablo Gargallo Museum, as part of their inquiry unit “How We Express Ourselves.”
During the visit, the students explored the work of Pablo Gargallo, an internationally renowned Aragonese sculptor whose innovative use of metal revolutionized modern sculpture. Through his creations, they reflected on how art is a universal language that allows for the communication of ideas, emotions, and perspectives.
In addition to closely observing some of his most iconic pieces, the visit helped stimulate their curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking, all essential elements in their learning process. It was an enriching experience that reinforced the value of artistic expression as a tool for communication and personal development.
This cultural outing not only allowed our students to better understand Aragonese artistic heritage, but also to find inspiration and a deeper connection with art in an active and meaningful way.
We invite you to enjoy some pictures from this visit, where art became a medium for exploration and learning.
