EYP REGIONAL SELECTION CONFERENCE: WE HAVE A DELEGATE IN THE NATIONAL SELECTION CONFERENCE.
We are delighted to share that Marina Pérez Navarro will be representing the School, and Aragón, at the EYP Spain National Selection Conference, taking place in Huesca.
After several weeks of preparation, it was time for our team of five delegates to represent the school at the Regional Selection Conference. On the 11th March, Natalia Asso López, Alba Giménez Gil, Marina Pérez Navarro, Alexandra Van de Merwe Valero and Ting Zhu, students from 4th ESO, took part in an intense weekend of team building, negotiations and resolution writing in Committee stage, culminating with debate in the General Assembly where all our delegates were able to participate on several occasions. This conference is held exclusively in English.
The European Youth Parliament is a non-profit organisation with an educational spirit, which aims to deal with the needs of European youths. It encourages young people to think critically and independently, and helps them learn social and political skills which are crucial for their future. At present, it is one of the biggest European platforms for young people with regard to political debate, international meetings, learning and exchanging ideas.
Many thanks to María Miralles Viu for helping prepare the team and for sharing her experience as a delegate last year. This year she is graduating to Committee Chair at the Regional Selection Conference in Marbella.
