Juan de Lanuza, in the Spanish network of the World Pact.
The 5th of June we celebrate the World Environment´s Day. From 1974, this day is widely celebrated in more than a hundred countries and has become a great way of arising awareness worldwide. In fact, it is the most important date in the oficial calendar of NATO to promote awareness and global action in favour of protecting the Environment.
Every year, the World Environment´s Day stresses out a particular environmental issue. This year is air pollution and the changes we can do in our daily lives to improve the quality of the air we breathe, and thus, stop it´s contribution to Global Warming.
On the occasion of World Environment´s Day, the Spanish Network of the Global Pact celebrates Climate Change Week from the 3rd to the 7th of June. In the framework of this celebration, and through the platform COMparte, the good practices related to the ODS 13 Action For The Climate, to which we actively contribute, are revealed.
For this reason, a good practice of us was mentioned. This practice makes us proud, and for that reason we wanted to share it to motivate the rest of the partners of Global Compact and those who see it in their web and social networks. The good practice is the improvement of the energetic efficiency and wellbeing achieved with the refurbishment of the west facade of the school, under the Passivhaus standard.
