MOSQUITO ALERT WINNERS
Earlier in the year, students from 1st Baccalaureate took part in the Mosquito Alert project and reached the International Final which took place on 13th June. The event was streamed live from Holland, and included a masterclass, connections with different participating schools and the much-awaited announcement of the winners. Our group, “Who’s got ice?”, won the juvenile category with their informative leaflet about the tiger mosquito. We would like to congratulate the winning team, the other winners and the organisation.
The aim of this Citizen Science project is to involve the public in research into this invasive species, the problems it creates and the measures that can be taken to stop it spreading. We encourage you to find out more from the complete leaflet our winning team designed at https://cutt.ly/XVSAmGJ
