Outstanding Performance of Our Students in the Regional Phase of the Model European Parliament
On February 5th, four 1st-year Bachillerato students proudly represented Colegio Juan de Lanuza in the regional phase of Aragón, Navarra, and La Rioja in the Model European Parliament (MEP), organized by the San Patricio Foundation. This prestigious educational program gives young people the opportunity to debate key European challenges, develop critical thinking, and enhance their public speaking and negotiation skills.
Over two intensive days, our students participated in committee sessions, analyzing and debating proposals on pressing current issues. Their dedication and outstanding argumentation skills were recognized in the General Assembly, where, after the jury’s deliberation, Pablo Elías was selected among the top 12 delegates to participate in the national phase in Madrid. His teammates, Hugo Gonzalo and Elena Montañés, were also highly ranked, making the reserve list.
In March, Pablo will have the incredible opportunity of debating at the Spanish Congress of Deputies, with the possibility of representing Spain in the international phase of the MEP.
At Colegio Juan de Lanuza, we are incredibly proud of Pablo and all our delegates for their exceptional performance. We also extend our gratitude to Colegio Condes de Aragón and Colegio Montessori for organizing this regional phase.
We continue to shape global citizens, fully prepared to tackle the challenges of the future!
